embarrassing how long it has been since i've posted. i am laboring diligently on my travel book which has been complicated by the fact that i broke my foot. yup. fractured my fifth metatarsal three weeks ago. supposed to be in a cast but i talked them down to a cam boot which actually blends with much of my wardrobe.

anyway, up until the handicap, the research had been much fun – paddle boats on stow lake, down the filbert steps and up the greenwich ones with parker, hiking up tank hill, writing a tour of the alamo square victorians and of course the hotels.... i love getting out there and rediscovering my city through the eyes of a tourist. just wish there was more time...

anyway, i'm putting all my energy into healing and writing. this too shall pass...

parker got assigned our neighborhood school! we still haven't heard from the french international school but at least we're in with some of our friday night club friends at a small school a block away.
